General Surgery PAs cover a range of specialties with work in areas including hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, upper gastrointestinal and small bowel disorders, gastric bypass, ERCP, vascular surgeries, Robotics cases, and a range of laparoscopic surgery.Physician Assistant - General Surgery | Full-Time, DaysThe general surgery PA is part of a comprehensive team covering surgical patients admitted to the hospital. PAs serve as front line providers rounding with surgical attendings, writing notes, orders, and performing necessary bedside procedures.PAs cover general surgery Monday through Friday day shift only, with no night, weekend, or holiday coverage expected.Preferred CriteriaAt least one year of experience in surgical or critical care medicine, open to strong new grad applicants.Required CriteriaBachelors or Masters in Physician Assistant related studiesNYS PA LicensureCurrent NCCPA CertificationACLS/BLSNYS Infection Control certificationDEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training complianceJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
