Our unique business model, combined with our dedication to delivering the highest quality products, enables team members to contribute in a larger capacity than is possible in typical positions.Position DescriptionThe Team Leader in the production cleanroom plays a pivotal role in overseeing a team of production associates within Applied Medical's regulated cleanroom environment. By leading, guiding, and motivating the team, this position ensures adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production goals. The Team Leader collaborates cross-functionally to streamline manufacturing workflows, provides training and development opportunities for team members, and facilitates effective communication to support smooth operations.This position will have support opportunities at several Applied Medical locations, including our Rancho Santa Margarita and Lake Forest manufacturing facilities. We offer 1st, 2nd, with a Monday - Friday weekly schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and guide a team of production associates, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and quality standardsProvide guidance, support, and motivation to team members to maximize productivity and efficiencyCoach and train team members to align performance management practices with company policies and goalsMake staffing decisions, such as hiring, scheduling, and performance management, to maintain a high-performing teamMonitor and manage the production processes to ensure timely and accurate manufacturing of medical devicesCollaborate with other departments, such as quality control and logistics, to streamline production workflowsAnalyze production data and metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvementTrain new team members on production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality control measuresProvide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of team membersFacilitate effective communication between team members and other departments to ensure smooth operationsReport production status, challenges, and achievements to higher management, fostering transparency and alignmentSuccess in This Role Looks LikeMaintaining a high-performing, engaged, and safety-conscious production team that consistently meets or exceeds quality and productivity targetsDriving continuous improvement in production processes through data analysis, problem-solving, and collaborative cross-functional initiativesEffectively onboarding and training new team members to rapidly achieve proficiency in critical manufacturing tasksEstablishing clear communication channels and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability across the production environmentProactively identifying and addressing team member development needs to build a skilled, versatile, and adaptable workforcePosition RequirementsThis position requires the following skills and attributes:High school diploma or equivalentStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend work and safety instructionsLeadership and coaching abilities to guide, motivate, and develop a team of production associatesPhysical capability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basisExperience working in cleanroom and laboratory manufacturing environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, for documentation and data analysisPreferredThe following skills and attributes are preferred:2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environmentDemonstrated success in leading and managing a team to achieve production, quality, and safety goalsCritical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in the production processFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement initiatives, and key performance indicator analysisExposure to medical device manufacturing or other regulated, quality-driven production environmentsBenefitsCompetitive compensation range: $24 - $28 / hour (California).Comprehensive benefits package.Training and mentorship opportunities.On-campus wellness activities.Education reimbursement program.401(k) program with discretionary employer match.Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule.Please note that the compensation range may be adjusted in the future, and bonus and incentive compensation plans may apply.Our total reward package reflects our commitment to employee growth and well-being, as we invest in your development and offer a range of benefits designed to enhance your career and life.All compensation and benefits are subject to plan documents and written agreements.Equal Opportunity EmployerApplied Medical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
