Production OperatorThis position is responsible for operating various equipment to mold, coat, or pad print parts within an assigned area as directed. The Production Operator accurately and efficiently completes orders to established procedures and quality standards.Set-up jobs and perform molding, coating, or pad printing operations to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements.Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates.Draft and maintain procedure sheets.Check all parts for excellent quality.Maintain accurate counts.Perform trimming on parts if needed.Assemble and package parts to customer's specifications.Ensure the safe operation of equipment.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.Ensure a clean and organized work environment.Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.Other duties as assigned.Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork.Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.Previous experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the building. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.The employee must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames.
