This role is considered hybrid; the expectation is two days' presence in the St. Petersburg, FL, Schaumburg, IL, or Edison, NJ office.About the PositionPCS is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports using data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Salesforce, and Excel.The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, particularly within the insurance domain (e.g., premiums, claims). This individual is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, partnering directly with stakeholders and executive leadership to deliver accurate, actionable insights.This role operates with a high degree of ownership and autonomy and requires adaptability, someone who is open to learning new tools, exploring different approaches, and selecting the right technology to solve data challenges efficiently.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and reportsBuild and manage data models, including developing efficient DAX measures and calculationsExtract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources (Oracle, SQL Server, Salesforce, Excel)Analyze insurance-related data such as premiums, claims, and underwriting performancePartner with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into effective reporting solutionsPresent insights and recommendations to executive leadership in a clear, concise, and business-relevant mannerEnsure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data across all reporting assetsProactively identify data issues, discrepancies, and anomalies, and drive resolutionOptimize performance of dashboards, queries, and data modelsSupport ad hoc analysis and reporting requests in a dynamic environmentExplore and implement alternative solutions (e.g., scripting, automation, or new tools)Prepare and deliver executive-ready datasets and reports in ExcelExcel & Executive ReportingBuild and maintain structured, presentation-ready Excel reports for leadershipUse advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)Transform raw data into clean, intuitive, and formatted outputsEnsure alignment between Excel deliverables and BI dashboardsRespond to time-sensitive executive requestsData Quality & ValidationValidate and reconcile data across systems (Oracle/SQL Server vs. Salesforce)Perform root cause analysis on discrepanciesApply best practices for QA, reconciliation, and documentationPartner with upstream data teams to resolve issuesEnsure reporting outputs are reliable and auditableStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationWork with business leaders and executives to understand needsTranslate ambiguous requirements into structured solutionsCommunicate insights in a clear, business-friendly mannerPresent findings and respond to stakeholder questionsProvide thoughtful pushback when neededManage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Education3–5 years of experience in BI or data analyticsStrong Power BI experience including DAX and modelingProficiency in SQL (Oracle and/or SQL Server)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting)Experience with Salesforce and Excel dataData validation and data quality experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience presenting to executive stakeholdersCuriosity and willingness to learn new toolsApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred QualificationsInsurance industry experience (claims, premiums, underwriting)Python for analysis or automationM365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate)Data warehousing and ETL knowledgeExperience with large datasetsEqual Employment Opportunity PolicyPCS values and is fully committed to diversity and inclusion.
