Chief Engineer

ABM is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee all engineering, maintenance, and building operations for a key facility in Dallas, TX. This leader will be responsible for directing a team of technicians, managing building systems, and ensuring the property operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and company standards.The ideal candidate is a strong technician with proven leadership skills and experience managing complex building systems.Compensation: $110k - $130k annual salary (US Dollars) DOEThe pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program401(k) - You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For information about ABM's benefits, visitKey Responsibilities:Manage and oversee all maintenance, engineering, and building operations for the facilityLead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and support staffEnsure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life‐safety systemsConduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance programsTroubleshoot and repair equipment, systems, and components as neededManage vendors, contractors, and service agreementsOversee budgets, inventory control, and purchase of materials/equipmentMaintain compliance with OSHA, safety policies, and all regulatory requirementsRespond to emergency situations and critical system issues promptlyProvide exceptional customer service to building occupants and clientsQualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred10+ years of experience in building engineering, facilities maintenance, or related field2+ years of supervisory or lead technician experience strongly preferredStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipmentAbility to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem‐solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as requiredUniversal EPA Certification, Journeyman license, or related credentials preferred$110,000 - $130,000 a yearWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
