Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation's third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art Partners-Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art-there's a role for everyone at The Woodruff.Reports to:ManagerFLSA:United States of America (Non-Exempt)Employment StatusTemporary/Part timeThe Event Runner assists in fulfilling the needs of running errands on a show/event day under the direction of Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE's Event Manager or a member of the Artist's Touring Party that may include:Work directly with the venue and touring party to retrieve and deliver items from local stores, restaurants, airports, hotels, laundry facilities, etc.Providing first-class transportation service for an Artist's touring party in a company vehicleAssist in ordering meals and after-show foodMaintain show cash and receipts throughout the dayAssisting with miscellaneous projects as directed by Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE's Event Manager or a member of the Artist's Touring PartyMaintain a professional and personable attitude with the venue and touring personnelAssist touring and venue personnel in setting up production and dressing rooms with hospitalityQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GEDProficient in Microsoft WordExperience in cash reconciliationSkills and Abilities:Available for long shifts, including nights and weekends (typical show days average 15 hours), in a fast-paced environmentAbility to drive 15-passenger vehiclesMust be 21 years of age or older and posses a valid driver's licenseMust be able to maintain composure around high-profile artists/guestsKnowledge and love of musicThorough knowledge of the local area, including area businesses & locationsSafe driving habitsUnderstanding of the live concert experienceSuperior communication skills, both verbal and writtenPositive attitude and courteous, personable manner; willingness to aid at any timeAttention to detailPhysical Demands/Work Environment:The work environment and physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
