As part of The Classic Center campus, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and seamless event execution.Position SummaryThe Director of Event Services is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of all ticketed events at Akins Ford Arena. Reporting to the General Manager, this position ensures excellence from event planning through final settlement while leading Event Planners, Coordinators, and staff.Key Responsibilities Oversee all arena event management activities Lead front-of-house planning including hospitality, staffing, and logistics Coordinate with ticketing, food & beverage, security, and technical teams Ensure high-level client and guest satisfaction Manage budgets, settlements, and billing accuracy Ensure compliance with safety and crowd management protocols Recruit, train, and lead event staff Improve operational efficiency and service deliveryQualifications 2–5 years of event management experience in a similar venue Bachelor’s degree preferred Knowledge of event operations and crowd management Experience managing budgets and labor planning Strong leadership and communication skills CPR certification (or ability to obtain) Valid driver’s licenseWhy Join Akins Ford Arena?Be part of a growing live events venue Work with a collaborative leadership team Lead impactful guest experiences Opportunity to innovate and grow professionallyThe candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.The Classic Center's EOE StatementIn accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended by the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), and consistent with this policy, The Classic Center makes reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities unless such accommodations would cause the employer an undue hardship.
