Our client, a leading national healthcare organization, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting - Corporate & Consolidations to join their dynamic team in Houston. This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing corporate accounting functions and financial consolidation processes for a large, multi-entity enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor corporate accounting and financial consolidation teamsOversee preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for timely, accurate reporting.Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsCollaborate with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making.Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting process efficiency.Oversee implementation and optimization of financial reporting and consolidation systems.Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).CPA certification required.Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on corporate accounting and consolidations.Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Proven track record managing and developing high-performing teams.Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
