Low Voltage Security TechnicianHighside Security | Full-Time | $52,000–$65,000 per yearHighside Security is looking for an experienced technician to install, program, service, and troubleshoot commercial and residential security and life safety systems.This role includes work on IP cameras and video systems, access control, intrusion and alarm systems, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, and supporting network infrastructure.Depending on the job, you may work independently or as part of a team. Either way, you will be expected to take ownership of your work from start to finish and represent Highside Security professionally in the field.Responsibilities• Install, program, service, and troubleshoot commercial and residential security and life safety systems• Work on IP cameras and video systems, access control systems, intrusion and alarm systems, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, and supporting network infrastructure• Work independently or alongside a teammate depending on the job• Take ownership of your work from start to finish• Represent Highside Security professionally with customers in the fieldQualifications• 3+ years of experience in low-voltage security, alarm, access control, fire alarm, or related systems• Practical experience with at least two of the following: CCTV / video management systems, access control systems, intrusion / alarm systems, or fire alarm systems• Familiarity with platforms such as Ubiquiti, Alula, ELK, Silent Knight, Honeywell, Luma, or LTS is a plus• Good working knowledge of IP networking, including DHCP, subnetting, VLANs, and port forwarding• Ability to read wiring diagrams and work from technical manuals• Valid driver's license and driving record that can be insured• Ability to pass a background check• Comfortable working on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and in Colorado weather conditionsBenefits• Full-time salaried position• $52,000–$65,000 per year, depending on experience and ability• 12 days PTO• 10 paid holidays• Gas card• Education budget• Opportunity to grow as the company growsWhy Highside?Highside Security has been serving Colorado residents and businesses since 2012.JR started as a technician, learned the trade from the ground up, and eventually bought the business because he saw the potential to build something better.
