Overview:
As the Quality Engineer Principal, you will lead root-cause investigations and drive corrective actions to uphold product reliability and compliance. You will shape enterprise-wide quality strategies, mentor engineers, and guide cross-functional teams across program management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain. This role challenges you to design robust inspection and testing processes and apply statistical methods to improve quality. You will influence the organization toward quality excellence and meaningful, measurable improvements in a mission-driven environment. Responsibilities:
- Lead product-failure investigations and MRB decisions
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide quality strategies and systems
- Mentor junior Quality Engineers and provide technical direction
- Design and analyze inspection/testing processes including statistical assessments
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to uphold quality standards
Key requirements:
- Bachelor in STEM discipline or 15+ years relevant experience 3+ years Lean Six Sigma (LSS) practices and/or root cause analysis
- Ability to identify solutions to complex problems with continual improvement focus
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO) and aerospace (AS)
- Ability to lead teams, mentor employees and influence organizational changes
