The position does not require a scholarship in the field, and there is a possibility of promotion. The new faculty member will serve the health science and exercise science undergraduate majors under the Health Science Department, one of the largest at Stonehill College. The majors primarily serve students interested in careers as allied healthcare professionals, such as, but not limited to, physical therapists, athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, strength and conditioning trainers, public health scientists, sports medicine physicians, and physician assistants. We seek enthusiastic applicants who are also committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduates, and who will foster diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice in education and science.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPotential candidates must be able to teach Introduction to Exercise Science, Applied Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Musculoskeletal Anatomy Lab, and Strength & Conditioning courses. For candidates without previous undergraduate teaching and/or mentoring experience, candidates should explain how they will uphold the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice within course instruction, advising, and as a member of the institution at large. We welcome proposals for an upper-level specialty course, potentially to be offered in the Department by the candidate in the future.
