This leadership role will oversee site crews and subcontractors involved in building piers, docks, bulkheads, pile driving, and other critical infrastructure. With a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and quality, the Civil Construction Superintendent will be the boots-on-the-ground leader ensuring projects stay on track and exceed expectations. Learn more about our mission and values.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations at marine construction sites, managing crews, equipment, and subcontractorsLead morning safety meetings, job hazard analysis, and enforce all safety standards and regulationsCoordinate construction schedules, equipment mobilization, and material logisticsSupervise tasks such as pile driving, dredging, cofferdam and concrete work, and marine liftsEnsure all work complies with technical specifications, environmental permits, and project quality requirementsServe as the field liaison with Project Managers, Engineers, and Quality Control staffMonitor and maintain marine assets including barges, cranes, and tugsKeep precise records including daily logs, reports, and production metricsTroubleshoot site challenges and prevent delays or risks with proactive solutionsTrain, mentor, and manage crew performance while upholding high standards of work ethicQualifications10+ years of heavy civil or marine construction experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory roleIn-depth knowledge of marine construction practices, equipment, and compliance requirementsProficient in reading and implementing construction drawings and marine project plansStrong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilitiesCapable of managing multiple crews and coordinating subcontractorsOSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications preferredComfortable working outdoors in variable weather and willing to work extended hours as neededFlexibility to travel or temporarily relocate to project sitesPreferred Experience Marine projects involving piers, docks, cofferdams, offshore foundations, or wharvesUnderstanding of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for coastal projectsExperience in underwater construction, dredging, and heavy marine liftsBenefitsHealth & Wellness: Medical & Dental Insurance, Safety Equipment ProvidedCompensation: Weekly Pay Cycle, Profit Sharing, Referral Bonus Program, Prevailing WageProjects Work-Life Balance: Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick LeaveCareer Development: Company Vehicle, Fuel Card, Paid Certifications, Apprenticeship ProgramTechnology: Smartphone or Tablet ProvidedRetirement: 401(k) with Employer MatchRelocation Assistance AvailableSet Sail on Your Next Leadership Opportunity!
