Structural Steel Project ManagerLocation: Norfolk County, MA (Projects Nationwide) Job Type: Full-Time | Travel RequiredSalary: $115,000-150,000A growing and well-established construction firm is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to lead fabrication and erection projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact role with full project ownershipfrom planning through closeoutworking alongside a strong operations and field team.If you're someone who understands both the shop and the field, and you take pride in delivering steel projects safely, on schedule, and on budget, this is worth a conversationWhat You'll Be DoingProject LeadershipTake full responsibility for structural steel projects from kickoff through completionCoordinate closely with operations, field leadership, and fabrication teamsPlanning & ExecutionDevelop and maintain project schedulesSupport operational planning and ensure alignment with field executionOversee erection sequencing and coordinationBudget & Cost ControlManage project budgets, forecasts, and billingTrack and negotiate change orders and extra workMonitor cost performance and projectionsCommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for owners, subcontractors, and suppliersManage all project correspondence and documentationQuality & SafetyEnsure all work meets plans, specifications, and company standardsPartner with safety leadership to uphold jobsite safety expectationsTeam DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop project staffDelegate effectively and promote accountability across the teamWhat You Bring10+ years of project management experience in structural steel (fabrication and erection required)Strong understanding of steel construction methods, sequencing, and coordinationProven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and field operations simultaneouslyEffective communicator who can lead teams and build relationships with clients and partnersOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWhat's OfferedCompetitive compensation with bonus and profit-sharing opportunitiesMedical and dental coverage401(k) with company matchPaid time off, holidays, and sick timeMileage reimbursement and cell phone supportOpportunity to work on projects nationwide with a strong, collaborative teamWhy This Role Stands Out You'll have real ownership, not just oversight.
