Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to provide support to our client’s healthcare system in Santa Fe. This is a 13-week contract, day-shift role with the potential for extension, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a hospital-based setting. Job Description Location: Santa Fe Shift: 5x8 Days 08:30–17:00, Tues–Sat Duration: 13 weeks Pay Rate: $1,440 weekly grossJob Summary Analyze patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures and section policies Ensure specimen integrity, proper labeling, and suitability prior to testing Perform a variety of laboratory tests with accuracy, following standardized methodologies Apply test procedures effectively and interpret results with a high level of precision Identify, investigate, and confirm abnormal or unexpected test results Repeat or validate tests when required to ensure accuracy and reliability Review, document, and report results in compliance with laboratory policies and timelines Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment Follow all quality control, safety, and infection control protocols Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations for high-complexity testing Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support accurate patient diagnosis Maintain detailed and accurate records of all laboratory activities Uphold confidentiality and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiativesRequirements EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree required in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent required. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification as a medical technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist as required. Must meet CLIA ‘88 requirements for performing high complexity testing as defined in the Federal Register, Vol. 57; #40, Subpart 493.1489.
