Core responsibilities include:Assigning dates and times for all new cases.Updating Juralaw with new dates, continuances, and case activity.Monitoring and docketing new or amended deadlines issued through case management orders and briefing schedules.Communicating with judges and court personnel regarding scheduling matters.Running court calls and generating docketing reports.Delivering courtesy copies to courthouses within the Chicago Loop.Performing light accounting tasks, including maintaining credit card expense records.Required Qualifications, Education and ExperienceAbility to work on-site in a professional office environment in a hybrid capacity.Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to read and interpret legal documents to extract deadlines and research court procedures.Willingness to ask questions and collaborate closely with the Docket Manager.Ability to walk a mile or more to deliver courtesy copies within the Chicago Loop.Professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and firm matters.Exceptional attention to detail and strong understanding of Civil Procedure.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with clear, consistent communication.Familiarity with discovery and litigation processes; strong research and writing skills required.Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities.Solid knowledge of litigation processes, legal terminology, tort basics, discovery, and pleadings.3+ years of litigation experience preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook.
