A premier management-side employment law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Employment Law Litigator to join its growing litigation team. This firm has built an outstanding reputation representing employers across the full spectrum of labor and employment matters, and is looking for a driven attorney ready to take ownership of complex employment disputes in state and federal court.ResponsibilitiesDefend employers against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under Title VII, the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, IHRA, IWA, and related common law claims in state and federal courtHandle wage and hour defense matters including class and collective actions under the FLSA, IMWL, IWPCA, and BIPADefend and prosecute trade secret violations and breaches of non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements including emergency injunctive relief proceedingsManage all phases of employment litigation including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and summary judgmentAppear in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Illinois state courtsRespond to EEOC and IDHR charges on behalf of employer clientsCommunicate directly and regularly with sophisticated business clients to provide strategic guidance and case updatesCollaborate with senior attorneys and firm leadership on complex, high-exposure mattersQualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolActive admission to the Illinois State Bar in good standingAdmission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois requiredMinimum 3+ years of demonstrated management-side employment litigation experienceSubstantive experience defending discrimination, wage and hour, and/or restrictive covenant claimsStrong motion practice background including summary judgment briefing in employment mattersBIPA defense experience a significant plusWhat We OfferThe opportunity to work at one of Chicago's most respected management-side employment law firmsDirect client contact and meaningful case ownership from day oneA collegial, team-oriented environment with a strong commitment to professional developmentExposure to a sophisticated, diverse employer client base across multiple industriesThe annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $250,000.
