JOB TITLE: PST, SO & SUB STATION ENGINEERING COORDINATORLOCATION: GRAHAM STATION, VEAZIEREPORTS TO: SUPERINTENDENT, POWER SYSTEMS TECHNICAL DEPARTMENTPOSITION STATUS: NON-EXEMPT, NON-BARGAINING UNIT, FULL TIMEBe a part of the energy that is transforming the power industry of northern and eastern Maine.Versant Power continues to provide efficient, safe, and reliable delivery of electricity to customers in northern and eastern Maine, while never losing sight of safety, quality, accountability, integrity, and innovation, for over 100 years.We are committed to our dedicated people, who inspire us every day, to deliver something more powerful than power alone.POSITION OVERVIEW:Under the general direction of Superintendent of Power System Technical Department, the incumbent is responsible for PST, System Operations and Sub Station Engineering reports, files and notices. This position will be responsible for Safety Related procurement and invoicing for FR Clothing and Safety Glasses. This position will be responsible for reporting and coordinating PST Capital Project progress including the processing of related invoices. This position will also be responsible for reporting PST O+M progress and coordinating the close out process of the Cascade Maintenance System, including being the backup for Cascade Programming and Modifications to the PST Operation Technician.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Order equipment and supplies for PST, Engineering and System Operations Departments.As necessary assist with weekly timecards for PST.Develop and maintain a basic understanding of Transmission and Distribution Sub Station systems.Review and maintain daily/weekly reports, work orders, warranty notices, crew reports and files.Responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting Cascade Maintenance progress and procedures, including equipment installs and removals. Responsible for providing training on the use of the Cascade System to Technicians, Engineers and others as needed.Responsible for Managing/Coordinating the PST Monthly Capital meeting process including follow up on decisions made and ensure that stakeholders have updated records in regards to the Capital process.Comply with all safety rules, attendance is required at Safety mtg's, and keeps accurate notes to distribute.Backup the PST Superintendent in the development of the O&M budget and the monthly variance reporting.Responsible for developing and compliance reporting of our PUC required Meter Testing Program, including future DG installations.Maintains accurate records concerning Company's Material Safety Data Sheets/Chemical Inventory Database.Perform general administrative and support duties.Develops and maintains proficiency in the use of personal computers and possesses aworking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Oracle Financial System.Attends and supports all Department Safety and Staff meetings.Responsible for coordinating the process of PST responsibilities as it relates to the environmental waste database.Responsible for filing RA's, SJOR's, and Confined Space Permits.Responsible for departmental Vendor Contact List and support.Responsible for performing all tasks involved in the requisition/purchasing/receiving process as requested by the PST Superintendent, including System Operations and Sub Station EngineeringGenerates and distributes various monthly and weekly reports as needed (Vacation, Overtime and Safety Statistics)Responsible for interacting and supporting other VP Department Coordinators.Other duties as assigned, including those associated with a system emergency.QUALIFICATIONS:Associate Degree in related field or 5 years utility experience preferred.Ability to use computer and internet applications including word, excel, power point and other internal company applications is required such as Cascade.Knowledge of power industry equipment and language beneficial.Effective written and oral communication skills, accuracy and neatness required.Maine driver's license required.Strong organizational skills required with ability to work with minimum Supervision.Required to be detail oriented and able to follow procedures.PERSONAL QUALITIES:Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiencyProven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties; this includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAble to deal with ambiguity, among multiple projects and competing prioritiesNOTES:Standing, walking, and sitting intermittently throughout the day.Ability to work effectively and safely under pressure and in stressful situations.Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.Good mathematical, communication and organizational skills.Strong computer application skills.Versant Power is a tobacco free and fragrance-free workplace.Usual work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
