Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Title: Environmental Health & Safety - Contractor - L4Location: Clifton, NJDuration: 12+ Months (Possible Temp to Perm)Pay Rate: $60-$81/hr. on w2. (DOE)Job Description:Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental health and safety regulations. Work to reduce company risk and liability in all aspects of EHS. Assists in a variety of duties to include, sampling, observations, training and inspections. Works with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met. Assists with root cause analysis when EHS incidents occur and recommends corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist. Responsible for monitoring and driving sustainability initiatives.Qualification BA/BS degree ideally in an EHS or engineering program5+ years of environment, health, and safety experience including personnel management and experience leading EHS initiativesIn this role, the candidate will use their experience to implement and lead strong environmental, health and safety aspects as they relate to manufacture and testing of aerospace electronics.Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)Strong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong teamwork, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analysis skillsExhibit sound judgment and professionalism in all situationsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively
