Mantis Security is looking for a Software Engineer to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum Team primarily focusing on building and maintaining containerized systems running in Kubernetes, however, will also participate in requirements gathering and assisting the Information Assurance team in maintaining security paperwork. This position is 100% on-site.Required QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement4+ years’ experience with Java, 3+ years with Python and JavaScript, and 2+ years with shell scripts5 years building and maintaining systems running on Linux or other UNIX-like systems2 years working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams in deploying and troubleshooting container-based systemsTS/SCI with current CI polyPreferred QualificationsSecurity+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing2 years’ experience with Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)Experience with NiFiRequirements managementMaintaining systems documentationExperience with cross-domain systems
