We operate with the energy of a startup and the expectations of a high-performing organization — focused on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.We’re building something real here — and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that growth.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting function, manage a small team, and help build scalable financial processes as we continue to grow.This is a player-coach role — you’ll be responsible for owning the numbers while also leading, mentoring, and developing a team that supports day-to-day operations.If you enjoy building structure, improving processes, and working closely with leadership in a collaborative environment, this role is for you.What You’ll Be DoingAccounting & Financial OperationsOwn the monthly close process, financial reporting, and general ledger integrityOversee AP/AR, invoicing, and expense reconciliation processesEnsure accurate and timely financial statements and reportingMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting workflowsLeadership & Team DevelopmentManage and mentor a small accounting team (2–3 direct reports)Coach team members to improve performance, accountability, and outputFoster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environmentProcess Improvement & GrowthIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes and reportingHelp build scalable workflows to support company growthPartner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow visibilityCross-Functional Support (Light)Support payroll and benefits administration in coordination with leadershipCollaborate across teams to improve financial visibility and decision-makingWhat We’re Looking For5–10+ years of accounting experience (public + industry a plus)Strong foundation in financial reporting and operational accountingExperience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager roleProven ability to manage and develop a teamExperience in a growing or dynamic environmentComfortable being hands-on while also thinking strategicallyExperience with QuickBooks or similar systemsWho You AreA builder — you like improving things, not just maintaining themA leader — you hold people accountable but bring energy and positivityA collaborator — strong communicator across teamsA coach — you enjoy developing peopleSomeone who takes ownership and follows throughWhy Join SyntegraDirect exposure to ownership and leadershipOpportunity to build and shape the finance functionA growing company with real momentumCollaborative, no-politics environmentAbility to make a tangible impact quicklyCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: ~$130K–$150K Performance-based bonus401(k) with company match100% employer-paid health insuranceDental & VisionPTO + holidaysHybrid flexibility
