Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will initiate and support continuous improvement activities, create metrics and reports for projects and processes, and document and improve processes. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring new employees, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting cross-functional teams. This role requires travel within the US for training and collaboration activities, especially in the initial months.ResponsibilitiesSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering by working with cross-functional teams from the conceptual phase through to the end-of-life phase.Lead the NPI team during the Proof of Manufacturing and Production Ramp phase, ensuring readiness for production.Practice and promote Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Reliability, and Service (DFx) guidelines.Provide feedback during design reviews using DFx principles.Lead process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (pFMEA) activities and contribute to design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA).Complete manufacturing and quality engineering deliverables during all NPI process phases.Create progress reports, metrics, and presentations for projects.Lead or support the integration of products and processes of newly acquired technologies.Lead 'Line Down' projects and support production to meet shipment and revenue goals.Design, develop, test, and qualify product and production improvements.Solve component end-of-life issues and find alternative components.Lead or contribute to Material Review Board (MRB) processes.Utilize corrective and preventive action processes to improve products and processes.Troubleshoot and test electromechanical and electrical assemblies.Support cost reduction activities and initiate product quality improvement activities.Essential SkillsExperience with NPI processes as a contributor and project manager.Proficiency in DFx, DFMEA, and PFMEA techniques.Experience in creating and maintaining BOM structures.Ability to write and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Mechanical part and assembly design experience using 3D CAD.Experience with GD&T and ANSI 14.5 standards.Proficiency in creating and editing production work instructions.Experience in troubleshooting complex electromechanical assemblies.User-level experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Solidworks and SolidEdge.Experience managing third-party contractors.Familiarity with ISO9001 requirements and Six Sigma principles.Experience in a highly engineered, low volume, high mix environment.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or an MSc degree with no experience requirement.Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The team consists of mechanical, electrical, and quality engineers, along with inspectors and documentation control members. The environment is collaborative, and the role requires working in a Clean-Room Environment.
