Grants Administration Specialist

Advent Talent Group is seeking a full-time Grants Administration Specialist to support grantmaking operations within a mission-driven philanthropic organization in Minneapolis, MN.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in grants administration, finance, or nonprofit operations who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in accuracy, data integrity, and meaningful community work.Overview:Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)Pay Rate: $33/hourHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekPosition Type: Long-term contract (12 months)ResponsibilitiesPerform due diligence review of documentation provided by potential grantee organizations, applying knowledge of IRS and Minnesota charitable registration regulationsProcess grant entries related to Donor Advised Funds, Employee Assistance Funds, and Corporate Matching Gift programsEnsure timely and accurate processing of weekly Grant Transmittal Letters, including customized Signature Fund lettersUpdate and maintain records in the organization's grantmaking system (Salesforce) to ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational and IRS standardsServe as backup and cross-train with the Grants Coordinator for grant entry and approval reportingProvide technical support to donor advisors, grantee contacts, and committee members via phone and emailCoordinate with the Finance Team on reissuing returned or uncleared grant distribution checksPrint and mail weekly substantiation letters and quarterly Fund StatementsSupport database migration and clean-up projects, including data entry and record updatesEnter and maintain fundholder and grantee contact informationQualifications3–5 years of experience in grants administration, finance/accounting, or a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or other CRM/database systems a plusStrong internet research skills, including familiarity with online charity databasesHigh attention to detail with the ability to work independently and follow established proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skills for external grantee and donor interactionsEligible employees will enjoy the following benefits with Advent Talent Group:Medical Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanPaid Time Off (PTO)Advent Talent Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer Advent Talent Group is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
