Senior Services Specialist - RSVP & SHIBA

DescriptionSenior Services Specialist - RSVP & SHIBA is responsible for providing direct support of one or more of Catholic Charities Senior Programs; which include the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors program, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, and/or Project Warm-Up in a designated service area within Central Washington. The position is responsible for beneficiary referrals, volunteer recruitment and management, inputting performance into the database(s), scheduling/hosting partnership events; presentations; and other outreach activities, and other deliverables to meet contract and grant requirements. This position provides services to individuals across Walla Walla, Benton, Franklin, and Yakima Counties.Responsibilities:Deliver quality direct services within one or more Senior Service ProgramRespond to service requests from clients, relatives, agencies or community members in a timely manner to match volunteers with service requestsEnsure volunteers accurately complete log for hours of services and mileageMaintain confidentiality according to program and professional standardsMaintain continued quality improvement and excellent ongoing communication to increase service delivery and ensure client needs are metMaintain consistent community involvement with community agencies, parishes and other partnersDevelop and maintain good working relationships with local senior services programs and RSVP partner "stations"Attend/facilitate volunteer meetings and participate in both volunteer and volunteer coordinator training sessionsEstablish relationships with community organizations that are sources of volunteer referralsCollaborate with the Senior Services Lead and other Senior Services staff members for any local presentations at parishes, businesses, senior centers, libraries, or resource fairs to increase public awareness of services availableCollaborate with Senior Services Lead for volunteer appreciation activities within the local designated service areaTravel periodically within Central Washington and flex working schedule to accommodate weekend and/or evening events.Complete documentation and data collection on all services providedMaintain accurate and appropriate records on clients, volunteers, stations, and services provided according to grant and program requirementsSubmit personal timesheets, expense requests, and reports in a timely manner.Monitor volunteer/beneficiary matches to ensure service was provided as requestedProvide Grant and Data Specialist information on volunteer hours required for trackingParticipate in supervision and team meetingsParticipate in supervision with the Senior Services LeadParticipate in Senior Services team meetingsParticipate in an annual performance evaluation according to the agency guidelines and set goals for individual and team performancePerform other duties as assignedQualificationsJob Requirements:The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this position. These physical demands are required up to 60% of the time.Non-physical Requirements:EducationBachelors' Degree in Social Sciences or related field, preferredHigh School diploma requiredExperience1 years' experience in community partnership and/or volunteer management, and working with senior and disabled population preferredExperience working on grants and knowledge of Medicare a plusSpecial SkillsMust be fluent in SpanishStrong communication and data collection skillsStrong organizational and record keeping skillsAbility to work independently and as a team memberAbility to relate well with volunteers and clients from diverse backgroundsStrong computer skills, data entry, and knowledge of Microsoft SuiteLicensure, Registration, CertificationValid Washington State driver's license and minimum required liability insurance for WA StateMust be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities' liability insurance providerEmployment is conditional upon:Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when requiredWage Range: $24 - $29 hourly, depending on education and experience. This position is funded through June 30th, 2027 and renewed annually based on the availability of funding sources.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm, available to work after hours for job fairs and recruitment eventsBenefits:13 paid holidays, 12 days of vacation, 12 days of sick leave per yearHealth insurance including medical & prescription coverage, with optional dental and vision insurance plans.
