Nurse Practitioner | Critical Care Location: Hackensack, NJ Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position A leading healthcare system in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Locums Neuro Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to provide full-time coverage in a high-acuity neurocritical care environment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ICU or neurocritical care provider who is comfortable managing critically ill neurological patients and participating in stroke response and ICU-level care. The provider will work collaboratively with an established team of neurocritical care physicians, APPs, and support staff within a busy academic medical center setting. Compensation: $130 Per Hour Position Details Assignment Type: Full-time locums coverage Schedule: 3 shifts per week Shift Types: Days, nights, and weekends required Shift Hours: Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM Call Requirements: None Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neurocritical care management for ICU patients Participate in stroke code evaluations and acute neurological assessments Perform daily patient rounding, admissions, and follow-up care Assist in the management of critically ill neurological and stroke patients Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary ICU teams Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the EMR system Preferred Skills & Experience Neurocritical care or ICU experience strongly preferred Comfort with stroke codes highly preferred ICU procedural experience preferred, including exposure to bedside critical care procedures Strong cri tical thinking and acute patient management skills Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Board Certified Nurse Practitioner required Active New Jersey license preferred Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred Prior ICU or neurocritical care experience strongly preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required
