The Financial Manager is responsible for the client service and management of a team of accounting professionals in providing accounting, cash management, financial reporting and financial management consultation services for a large portfolio of community association clients. This position will interface with the property managers, general managers, property developers, community association Board of Directors and third-party service providers on financial matters. This is a "hands-on" position from an accounting perspective. The Financial Manager will be responsible for: Client contractual service deliverables including review and approval of monthly financial reports and annual budgetsManaging the monthly pre-close and close processesManaging the preparation process for annual budgetsManaging the daily flow of financial service inquiries and requestsClient billing for services performed outside the service level agreementClient satisfaction and retentionRecruiting, hiring, training and mentoring staffTroubleshooting and resolving escalated issuesCoordinating with other CiraConnect SaaS Shared Services departments providing AP Lockbox, AR Lockbox, Property Conveyance Lockbox, Delinquent Account Collections, Audit-tax, Insurance, Corporate, Information Technology and Transition services in the delivery of overall financial management servicesServing as the primary financial consultant with community managers and community Board of DirectorsProcess improvement recommendations and implementationBecoming a "subject matter expert" in the CiraConnect SaaS technology platform with respect to the delivery of accounting and financial management servicesThis description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties. Accounting degree from a 4-year accredited college / university2 years minimum experience as an Accounting Manager or ControllerSupervision of an accounting department with a minimum of 5 employeesReal estate, property management and/or outsourced accounting / bookkeeping industry experience strongly preferredHands on experience with a mid to upper tier accounting software packageDemonstrated experience with a systems conversion and balance transferExceptional computer skills (power user)CPA / graduate degree a plusExcellent grasp of basic accounting theory and methods of accounting (accrual, cash and modified cash) Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach as needed.Ability to lift or move objects up to 10-15 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual meetings.Ability to work in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels.Ability to work a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as required.
