Trade Promotions Analyst
Salary Non-Exempt Position
Summary/Objective
The Trade Promotion Analyst will process trade promotions deductions and payments that fall under the annual promotion accrual function.
Reports to the Accounting Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities:· none.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Sets up Sales Promotions master records for monthly accrual
· Coordinates with the Sales / Promotions Manager to process deductions and checks related to the Sales Promotion accrual, customer claims for repayment and auto check repayments.
· Reconciles customer deductions and sales promotion balances daily/monthly in accordance with the promotion agreement.
· Creates and shares external accounting reports with the Sales department.
· Responds to customer emails on a daily basis, ensuring all email and back up is checked and confirmed.
· Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
· Assists in verifying and/or completing payment/credits of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
* Assist with various accounting reports and supporting documentation.
· Codes invoices/credit memos, reconciles accounts, and assists in preparing accruals for monthly closing.
· Performs other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
· Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; filing, email response.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
· Ability to function well in a team environment.
· Knowledge of office practices and clerical/accounting procedures.
· Proficient in data entry and typing.
· Intermediate knowledge and skill in Microsoft Excel and Word, or similar software.
· Knowledge of accounting software.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required, with some bookkeeping coursework.
· Three to five years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Job Type: Full-time/ON-SITE
Pay: $47,320 - $55,000 per year
