The Positive Drive team is seeking a Technical Sales Support Specialist to serve as a high-level technical resource dedicated to optimizing conveyor performance.This role focuses on providing specialized sales support with a heavy emphasis on supporting customers through retrofits, conveyor design, and solving intricate technical application issues.Key ResponsibilitiesConveyor Layouts & Retrofits: Partner with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs, specifically for new conveyor layouts and retrofitting existing systems.Technical Problem Solving: Utilize technical expertise to solve complex application issues and demonstrate how our conveyor solutions suit customer requirements better than competing products.Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations to internal and external customers explaining the compatibility and features of various conveyor platforms.Direct Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer inquiries via phone or email, ensuring high-level support for technical specifications.Strategic Growth: Partner with commercial teams during strategic account conversions by providing the technical validation needed to displace incumbent systems.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Relevant Experience: 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, product support, or industrial manufacturing environments.Design Tools: Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD softwareSoftware Skills: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) for managing technical case queues.Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer site visits, on-site troubleshooting, and technical project support.Languages: Proficiency ins Spanish is considered a “nice-to-have” to support the entire Americas region.Core CompetenciesTechnical & Analytical Aptitude: Ability to analyze complex issues and translate them into functional conveyor solutions.Customer-Centric Problem Solving: Focused on identifying the best conveyor configurations to solve specific end-user challenges.Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical training.Interpersonal Skills: Excellent customer care skills, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
