This position reports to the Construction Manager and represents an excellent opportunity to join an active, well-funded team, gain valuable experience, and advance your career as GRC grows.ResponsibilitiesMust be able to operate various types of heavy equipment, such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, compactors, articulated dump trucks, and/or front-end loadersEnsures equipment is in good working order, at all timesMust possess skill, coordination, and awareness to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner with precision and efficiencyWillingness to operate heavy equipment for long periods with continuous attention to detail and safetyMaintain consistent communication among field crew members by use of hand signals or radio to align and position heavy equipment properlyRestores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job siteResponsible for the site set-up and clean-upLoad and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truckWill be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting constructionSetting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging trafficMay be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completedAbility to follow instructionsWe tend to stay local to NV, but we will move around the stateSome out of state work may take placeRequired QualificationsExcavator: 1 year (Required)Experience is (Required)Must Have Valid Driver’s LicenseOn-call and weekend availabilityTravel is RequiredPreferred QualificationsFTTH, FTTX Experience (Preferred) CDL A (Preferred)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communications skillsUnderstanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plusAdditional InformationSalary Range: $24 - $28 Hourly, based on experienceSchedule: Day Shift: Monday - Friday & Night Shift: Sunday - ThursdayTravel Requirements: 100%Role Openings: 2Target Start Date: 2-3 weeks from offerInterview ProcessRecruiter ScreenHiring Manager InterviewFinal InterviewConditional offer upon successful background checkEqual Opportunity EmployerGlass Roots Construction (GRC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
