Process Engineering
Objective of Job
Assist in the planning and implementation of manufacturing processes for various production technologies at the plant. Manage and maintain control of serial manufacturing processes to achieve plant objectives.
Principal Activities
Administration and monitoring of the Part Process History (part history process) in Product Lifecycle Management software (PLM) book: documenting all geometric or process parameter changes, through process technical sheets, which involves their review, update or even creation if required.
Increasing the process maturity level based on the evaluation results of the produced parts, with the objective of achieving the required properties of the product through a robust process configuration.
Understand the Product-Process Connection: Recognize how the product's design and characteristics influence the manufacturing process.
Adhere to Specific Requirements: Strictly follow customer specifications, tolerances, and any special process needs.
Maintain Detailed Records: Keep thorough documentation of the entire production process, including data sheets, part history, and instructions.
Continuously Seek Improvement: Regularly analyze the process to identify areas for optimization, whether it's through new tools, streamlined steps, or problem-solving techniques.
Detailed knowledge of the characteristics and required capability values in the product/process specifications.
Ensuring compliance of the production process with the product characteristics through validation based on customer specifications, using statistical methods such as machine and process capability studies (MFU, PFU), design of experiments (DOE), etc.
Suggesting adjustments to process tolerances and verifying process parameters.
Collaborating with various production and support areas to provide integral solutions.
Participation in the industrialization workshop: developing the prototype and being actively involved in the kick-off meetings for new projects.
Developing and specifying the production concept.
Defining maintenance concepts in conjunction with the maintenance department.
Performing production concept, configuration of production, and supporting the start-up of equipment and series processes.
Verifying the manufacturability of components.
Participating in the FMEA process.
Constructing and installing control systems.
Determining and reporting key productivity figures.
