Control Process Operator (Dual Role Mobile Equipment) 2nd Shift
Meyer Utility Structures is currently looking to hire a Control Process Operator for our plant operation located in Fort Worth, TX. The Control Process Operator sets up and operates machines, and may use blueprints, make adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas.Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today’s transmission industry standards and specifications.Schedule: Mon- Fri 4:00 pm - 2:30 am with MANDATORY overtime on Saturdays as needed. What You Will DoOperate any or all of the following machines:20' Break Press26’ Break Press60' Break PressPlasma TableKinetic (Drill Press)Form and or cut materials into predesignated shapes and sizesOperate overhead cranes to move materials safelyOperate forklifts to move materials safelyRead blueprints proficiently and verify dimensional requirementsTroubleshoot equipment and make basic adjustmentsMake general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequenceFollow all safety rules and practicesOther job duties as assignedWhat You Will NeedMinimum of 1 year of experience operating a 20’ or larger break press, Plasma Table, or Drill Press, preferably breaking and/or cutting steel up to 2” thickWorking knowledge/experience with angle grinders/metal manufacturing/fabricationExperience operating overhead cranesExperience operating forkliftsAbility to proficiently read blueprints and verify dimensional requirementsThe ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendanceThe ability to stand throughout the day, and climb on/off equipment, and lift materials in excess of 50 pounds regularlyA high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
