This Columbus, OH-based role includes intermittent domestic and global travel to contract manufacturer sites.Overview:The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for leading and maintaining quality management systems. These systems ensure all products meet the company's standards, regulatory requirements, and quality goals at Bath & Body Works. This role oversees product quality from launch through lifecycle, partnering with suppliers to develop quality plans, evaluate performance data, and drive corrective and preventive actions.The role collaborates cross‐functionally and with external partners to uphold quality requirements, protect brand equity, and drive continuous improvement. It also plays a strategic role in embedding quality early in the development lifecycle, aligning quality initiatives with business goals, and fostering a quality‐first culture. Provide direct supervision and technical guidance to 1-2 Associates.Responsibilities:QA Program Execution (40%)Lead risk assessments (product, design, packaging) and develop contingency plansAlign QA needs with business objectives and product strategiesMonitor post‐launch quality performance and drive issue resolutionProvide technical and investigative support for vendors as well as cross‐functional teamsSupport scale‐up for new and reformulated productsLead deviation investigations, identification of underlying issues, and corrective/preventive actionsDrive Quality Planning activities (Quality, Cost, Timing)Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiencyQuality Control (QC) Issue Management (20%)Oversee QC programs, inspections, and test data evaluationTrain teams on QC measurement tools and data analysis methodsIdentify trends, bring up issues, and implement corrective actionsProvide technical root‐cause analysis support and document findings to contract manufacturers and internal cross functional teamsVendor Performance (20%)Provide technical support to global contract manufacturersCommunicate Quality Assurance policies, standards, and expectations to vendors and internal partnersManage vendor compliance, performance, and continuous improvement effortsDevelop vendor launch plans and oversee first‐production and in‐process inspectionsConduct product inspections for specification compliance as neededTalent Management & Development (20%)Manage team of full‐time direct reports, contractors, and internsBuild technical proficiency and support career development of TeamLead recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance managementDevelop and retain dedicated employees, support succession planningDevelop a collaborative, quality‐focused, and growth‐centered team cultureQualificationsMinimum 5 years of quality, manufacturing, or other applicable engineering experienceExperience in quality planning, project management, QC processes, statistical techniques, and GMPStrong problem‐solving, root cause analysis, and decision‐making skillsAbility to manage complex projects and shifting prioritiesStrategic problem solver with a quality-first approachStrong leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‐management skillsHigh emotional intelligence with the ability to mentor and build trustAbility to travel 15-25% domestically and internationallyEducation:* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Physical or Natural Sciences, or a related fieldCore CompetenciesLead with Curiosity & HumilityBuild High Performing Teams for Today & TomorrowInfluence & Inspire with Vision & PurposeObserve, Engage & ConnectStrive to Achieve Operational ExcellenceDeliver Business ResultsBenefitsBath & Body Works associates are the heart of our business.
