Executive Director, Development and Operations

About the RoleAs the Executive Director, Development and Operations you will serve as the senior leader for the organization, responsible for driving all of the fundraising and marketing strategies and overseeing day-to-day operations. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, demonstrated experience with individual and corporate giving, grant writing, event planning, social media and marketing, as well as a willingness to manage nonprofit operations and administrative functions.This position reports to the Board of Directors.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to include individual, corporate and foundation givingPlan all fundraising and donor/partner prospect eventsDevelop and manage organizational messaging, communications and marketing to include social media, e-newsletters and eblasts, website updates, blog articles, one pagers, etc - with support of a contractual communications/marketing consultantManage and collaborate with the Community Outreach Coordinator (FTE) to build out a volunteer training and engagement plan, and identify and engage partners and events for swab drives and educational presentationsServe as spokesperson for the organization to include presentations and media interviewsManage the budget and serve as a member of the Finance CommitteeBe responsible for all accounts receivables and payablesManage all vendors and contracts including bookkeeping, employee benefits, office lease, cybersecurity and software toolsWork with the Board to develop and implement an annual work planPreferred Skills and ExperienceCollege degree in communications, marketing or business8+ years of experience in fundraising and marketing2+ years of experience in a nonprofit leadership roleDeep understanding of nonprofit operations and financial structureExperience working with a Board of DirectorsStrong analytical, organization, communication and time-management skills with the ability to multitask, adapt and pivot to challenges or changes and manage competing prioritiesBasic knowledge of HR and accounting principles, and nonprofit and governance best practicesFamiliarity with fundraising and marketing tools including CRMs, donor management software, design software such as Canva and photo editing, and Microsoft Office
