HR Operations, Benefits & Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)

If you too want to be a Maxonian and help bring to market the finest software products for 2D and 3D visual effects, motion graphics, games, AR/MR/VR, visualization and general design, let's talk.What you will do:Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, offer letter, employment changes, and HR documentationMaintain accurate employee data and workflows in Workday and ADP, ensuring data integrity and compliancePrepare, process, and verify semi-monthly payroll for the U.S. and Canada, including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, and leaves of absencePartner with Finance to reconcile payroll reports, support audits, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulationsOversee benefits administration and support benefit renewals, including health, dental, vision, RRSP, 401(k), and leave programsServe as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductionsTrack benefit elections and life events, and coordinate with brokers and vendors as neededMaintain HR policies, templates, SOPs, I-9 verification, and mandatory training complianceCollaborate with the Global HR team on compensation cycles, promotions, system improvements, and process optimization initiativesWhat we are looking for:Have at least 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administrationProven experience processing payroll across Canada and the U.S.Excellent understanding of international benefitsFamiliarity with tools like Workday, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Teampay is an assetStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyKnowledge of employment standards, tax regulations, and benefits complianceStrong organizational and analytical skillsExperience in Multi-Entity Environment is a plusFluent in English; German and French is a plusKnowledge of employment standards, tax regulations, and benefits complianceStrong organizational and analytical skillsSalary Range*:USD 100,000 - 135,000*Salaries at Maxon are based on a candidate's specific criteria including experience, skillset, education and location.
