Physician - Internal Medicine - West Pavilion - Wyoming, Michigan

West Pavilion Internal Medicine is seeking an Internist with an interest in leadership to join their busy practice as Section Chief. The practice serves a highly diverse patient population and works with a multidisciplinary team including family medicine physicians, advanced practice providers, RN care managers, social workers, pharmacy and support staff. In the role of Section Chief, you will maintain communication between providers and upper leadership, collaborate on decision making with the practice manager, and provide guidance and mentorship for physicians and advanced practice providers. Position Expectations Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients. Provide quality medical services to patients in a cost‑effective and appropriate manner, ensuring coverage of case load. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to medical practice and quality patient care. Provide oversight of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other delegated personnel. Document in a manner consistent with regulatory standards. Communicate with other members of the health‑care team to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Act as a patient advocate. Participate in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical pathways and related initiatives.
