Unit NotesDepartment: LDRP*Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP*NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT- # of L&D Beds: 4 L&D beds, 7 postpartum- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: Labor: 1:1-2, PostPartum: 1:2-3- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: > 35 weeks in labor, Mom/Baby couplets- Years Experience: 2yrs experience required- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Antepartum/Labor- Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, Zofran, etc . Postpartum: Prenatal vitamin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, Toradol- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Neonatal vent- CPAP, Bipap, high flow- EFM System OB Trace Vue- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7-7 // block scheduling- Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend- Holiday Requirements: Depending on availability- Floating Requirements: Floating to MSP/ED for helping hands, mostly sitting 1:1 with patients- Scrubs: Provided- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3- 12 hour shiftsVivPost
