Mechanical Design Engineer

Job DescriptionOne of Insight Global's clients is looking for a temporary Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Rockville, MD. The candidates should be proficient in excel and SolidWorks, be able to design new parts, models and make drawings, create assembly steps and procedures, and test and validate that the design delivers on its requirements.Day-to-Day: Draft preliminary designsMark and change any updates to drawingsDetail final elements and deliver final drawing packagesUpdate bill of materialsAssembly documentationSupport production team and help assemble prototypes for testingRequired Skills & Experience:2+ years of experience using a CAD softwareStrong MS Office experienceExperience with BOM systemsStrong Mechanical engineering aptitudeAble to work hand in hand with the design team as well as the production teamNice to Have Skills & Experience:2+ years of experience using SolidworksStrong Excel experienceExperience working though entire design and testing process
