A person who enjoys challenges and works well in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, will thrive in this position. As a key member of the finance team, the manager plays an integral role in accounting-related functions and responsibilities within the firm. This position works closely with the firm’s CAO, investment deal team, and portfolio companies.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all phases of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes for the management company and its affiliated entities.Responsible for internal financial reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely submission of information to senior management for decision-making.Maintain and generate accurate accounting records; perform monthly account reconciliations and analyze transactions for reasonableness, accuracy, and compliance with US GAAP.Maintain and enhance compliance with internal controls by recommending changes to ensure all transactions are prepared, executed, and documented correctly.Supervise accounting staff.Stay up to date on any changes to accounting standards.Provide technical accounting guidance on new and emerging accounting and reporting issues.Research and draft relevant accounting memos for portfolio companies.Assist portfolio companies with complex accounting matters, such as purchase price allocation, revenue recognition, and lease accounting.Support the investment deal team in new deal closings and investment exits.
