Hours:40Schedule:This position is hybrid and remote eligible for up to 20% of the time. The office location for this position is at ESL Headquarters in Rochester NY. Qualifications listed below.Sr. Fiduciary Officer Starting Salary: $143,000 Salary Range: $126,500-$159,500In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we offer an annual performance-based incentive that rewards eligible employees for their contributions to our success.Purpose of Position:The role of a Fiduciary Officer involves developing, administering, and supporting fiduciary accounts while maintaining the highest service standards and fiduciary compliance. The individual in this role will act as an expert in administering, communicating, managing client relationships, new business development and interpreting legal documents.Accountabilities:Relationship ManagementReview client relationships, interpreting legal documents, prepare reports and communications for clients and outside advisors.Maintain high levels of customer service for all Wealth clients and ESL FCU members.Perform and approve account regulatory reviews, prepare discretionary distribution requests, complete operational duties for client accountsNew Account and Trust Acceptance Committee voting memberAssist in maintaining and developing trust company operations, policies andproceduresOngoing responsibilities with trust operations and trust systemsDevelop and maintain operational efficiencies in efforts of achieving business and compliance objectivesParticipate in the development and onboarding of new fiduciary businessProvide team backup when neededParticipation in new and existing business activitiesAssist team members and also be able to lead in business activitiesWork with COI’s to strengthen relationshipsContinue to education ESL FCU members, employees and the outside community about ESL Trust ServicesUtilize technical knowledge of fiduciary standards, tax and operations to provide the best customer experience for new and existing clients.Comply with regulatory, compliance and code of ethicsComply with NYS Department of Financial Services trust regulationsAdhere to ESL FCU guidelines, policies, and proceduresRemain up to date on industry rules and best practices thru continuing educationCultivate and maintain productive working rapport with ESL personnel on all levelsCultivate and maintain productive working rapport with ESL personnel on all levels Fiduciary Officer Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent directly related experience Minimum of 7 years proven trust experience; may consider relevant combination of experience in financial services, legal, operations, compliance or audit.Must include client facing interaction and documentation and/or generation experience.Demonstrates discretion, empathy, and professionalism when navigating sensitive family and financial mattersHighly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timelinessExplains complex fiduciary concepts in a respectful, clear mannerBuilds trust and rapport with clients, colleagues, and external partnersAdapts well to changing legal and regulatory environmentsCollaborates effectively across departments and disciplinesMaintains ethical integrity and sound judgment in decision-makingFiduciary Officer Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience Additional industry certifications (CTFA, CFP, RP, CEPS, etc.)Willingness to obtain advanced degree or industry certifications. Sr. Fiduciary Officer Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or a related field10+ years of experience in trust administration or a related field (legal, compliance, auditing, or operations may be considered)5+ years in a client-facing capacityDemonstrated experience interpreting legal documents or contributing to lead generation activitiesMaster's degree or JD preferredWe’re committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
