🚀 Hiring: Field Engineer (Cisco WLC 9800) | Network Deployment Engineer | Onsite Dispatch | Modesto, California | Contract📍 Location: Modesto (Onsite)💼 Employment Type: Freelance / Contract / Dispatch-Based💰 Rate: $30/Hour🕒 Engagement Type: Ticket-Based / On-Demand⚠️ No Guaranteed HoursWe are currently seeking an experienced Field Engineer / Network Deployment Engineer for onsite dispatch-based support across client locations in and around Modesto.This opportunity is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in Cisco wireless deployments, rack & stack activities, structured cabling, and onsite field support.🔧 Key Responsibilities:• Install Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC 9800 Series)• Perform rack & stack deployments and structured cabling• Handle fiber optic connectivity, SFP installation, and patching• Validate switchports, power connections, and network cross-connects• Stage hardware before deployment and support cutover activities• Coordinate with remote network teams during implementation• Troubleshoot physical layer and connectivity issues onsite• Decommission legacy WLC devices and manage return logistics📌 Project Scope:• Dispatch / ticket-based assignments• Typically 1 site per day• Weekend deployments may be required for larger projects✅ Required Skills:• Experience with Cisco WLC 9800 deployments• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking fundamentals• Expertise in fiber optics, SFP modules & structured cabling• Rack & stack and onsite deployment experience• Ability to work independently in field environments🧰 Required Tools:• Console cable• Mobile hotspot• Label maker• Rack mounting tools💵 Reimbursable Items:• SFP modules• Fiber patch cords• Ethernet patch cables
