We encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our vibrant campus community today!At the University of Wyoming, we are committed to creating a supportive and enriching workplace.JOB TITLE:Branding Iron Staff Writer, Student MediaJOB PURPOSE:Provide news, feature or sports stories to newspaper for publication in print and/or online editions.JFNTMPESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Produce at least three stories per week.Pick up assignments from section editor.Meet with section editor regularly.Create story ideas for consideration of section editor.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Full-time studentAccess to personal transportationNewspaper experience, including writing news stories.Must be available for publication deadlines on Sundays and Wednesday nights.Must be available Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for training.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of AP and BI stylebooksKnowledge of basic journalistic style and how to write newspaper articles.REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS:Complete the online application.
