Logistics Supervisor

MM Technics LP is German based, tier one supplier to the automotive OEM’s in South Carolina. The Prosperity plant joins a corporate family that has manufacturing operations in Germany and Poland. MM Technics is looking to hire a qualified candidate for our Logistics supervisor position. Position Snapshot: Under minimal supervision, directs and maintains flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing facility. Continuously interacts with production, planning, inventory management, purchasing, and shipping. Participates in cycle count activities and physical inventories. Responsibilities: · Train, instruct, direct and oversee all logistics employees. · Document damaged freight and assist with the claims process. · Shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory management tasks, requiring a high attention to detail. · Prepare proper documents for outgoing shipments · Administer movement of incoming and outgoing materials throughout the facility. · Maintain adequate inventory for shipping department materials. Review shipping schedule frequently and order materials as needed according to lead-times so that stock-out conditions never occur. · Count and package parts to be shipped to customer · Participate in cycle counts. Analyze, root cause, and verify cycle count discrepancies and make needed corrections to achieve inventory accuracy in counts. · Participate in physical inventory activities. · Other duties as assigned by plant management Requirements: · Minimum five (5) years of Supervisory and Managerial experience, required · Minimum two (2) years manufacturing/warehouse experience, preferred. · High School Diploma or equivalent, required · Competent computer skills, Microsoft Office and SAP, required · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, required · The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment · Proven ability to stay focused and complete tasks in a timely manner with limited supervision · The ability to be proactive and take action without being asked, looking for opportunities to make a difference · The ability to safely operate pallet jack and forklift · The ability to organize workflow and focus attention on detailed requirements and tasks · Ability to count and pack parts to customer specs · Ability to comply with all facility safety and environmental rules WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position will require frequent standing, walking, and lifting of items up to 50 pounds. There will be occasional sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and working overhead. Occasional pushing/pulling of a moving cart and moving/lifting equipment.
