Over 5,000 Architects and 75,000 Engineers work for this A/E firm around the world.Job Description:This is a multi-billion-dollar Design-Build program by the NYC Dept. of Design and Construction to construct four new buildings across four boroughs. The Deputy Design Technical Lead must be someone who understands the overall program goals in addition to the specific project requirements.The Deputy Design Technical Lead will report to the Design-Technical Track Lead and will collaborate with the other Deputy Design Technical Leads, part of the program-wide design and technical management. In general, the Deputy Design Technical Lead will coordinate with engineers and construction administration and address design and technical topics that support the DDC. In-office!Responsibilities:Identify and address technical and engineering-related topics associated with project requirements and the JV's role including input on site conditions, Design-Build team issues, NYC Dept. of Corrections and supporting DDC directives.Assure that the proper resources focus on the pertinent topics and move project forward.Participate in Design Builder work sessions.Oversee JV design and engineering team responses during Design Builder implementation.Attend technical meetings, including asset management, communications, capturing action items, and disseminating information back to the team.Guide technical specialists and keep them appraised with changes.Review design review comments made on submittals and coordinate with engineering specialists.Review all content for compliance with project requirements. Required:Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or a relevant field of study.MUST have proven Leadership skills, ability to focus on priorities, manage a team and the budget, ability to work with clients and be a can-do team player.Architectural or Engineering licensure is desired.Previous experience working with multi-story high-rise construction.Previous experience working with NYC agencies.Strong verbal and written skills in a client-facing capacity.Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
