You will partner closely with lead teachers to create a safe, stimulating environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to grow.ResponsibilitiesSupport planning, sequencing, and execution of process-based activities aligned with our play-based philosophyAssist with day-to-day classroom operations and transitionsEngage intentionally with children to encourage age-appropriate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical developmentRemain flexible and responsive to children's interests, allowing for depth of engagementCommunicate warmly and effectively with children, families, and colleaguesCollaborate with lead teachers on lesson planning and shared materialsAttend monthly staff meetings and fulfill annual continuing education requirementsModel kindness, patience, and good citizenship every dayRequirementsQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in early childhood educationMinimum three years of experience working with preschool-age childrenFamiliarity with child-centered educational philosophies (Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Piaget)Genuine empathy and respect for children, families, and colleaguesEnergy, enthusiasm, and a deep love of young learnersPersonal passion for learning, play, and discoveryAbility to reliably commute to Henrico, VA 23229
