Industrial Senior Sales Manager
Job title: Senior Industrial Sales / Territory ManagerLocation: Texas, USA — RemoteAbout the client and roleOur client, a global manufacturer and is seeking a Senior Industrial Sales / Territory Manager to manage and grow the full Texas territory.This is a remote, field-based role focused on developing business across the Industrial Aftermarket, Industrial OEM, and Automotive Aftermarket markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an established territory, maintaining key distributor and OEM relationships, and actively identifying and winning new business opportunities.Responsibilities· Manage and grow the full Texas territory across Industrial Aftermarket, Industrial OEM, and Automotive Aftermarket accounts.· Develop and execute territory plans to achieve and exceed annual sales targets.· Maintain and strengthen relationships with national and regional bearing distributors, OEMs, end users, and industrial customers.· Identify, prospect, and win new business opportunities across the territory.· Grow existing accounts by increasing market share and identifying new applications for bearing products.· Work directly with distributor branch personnel on pricing, delivery, customer requirements, and new business opportunities.· Build relationships with distributor sales teams, management, end users, engineering, quality, and procurement contacts.· Support RFQs, NPRs, PDRs, drawing requests, sample requests, PPAP requests, and product approval processes.· Communicate customer needs and requirements internally to ensure customer production and operational continuity.· Gather and report competitor activity, market trends, customer feedback, and new business intelligence.· Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates, call reports, forecasts, and sales plans.· Attend regional and national sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events where required.· Develop potential growth opportunities in Houston, Dallas, and adjacent markets such as aerospace and defense.· Operate independently from a remote office while maintaining strong communication with internal teams.· Travel across the Texas territory approximately 40–50% of the time, including overnight stays where required.Skills and Qualifications· Candidates with 5–10 years of experience in relevant technical sales environments will also be considered.· Proven track record of winning new business, growing accounts, and managing a large regional territory.· Experience selling into industrial aftermarket, industrial OEM, automotive aftermarket, or related technical markets.· Experience working with distributors, OEMs, end users, and mid- to senior-level customer stakeholders.· Bearing experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and relevant industrial sales experience will be considered.· Strong hunter mentality with the ability to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.· Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take full ownership of the Texas territory.· High level of independence, self-motivation, organization, and accountability.· Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop trust with customers and internal stakeholders.· Ability to work in a process-driven, international business environment where communication, trust, and reliability are highly valued.· Strong decision-making, problem-solving, business planning, and territory management skills.· Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.· Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Business Administration, Industrial Technology, Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or a related field.· Mechanical Engineering degree is advantageous.About CLMAt CLM, we’re obsessed with creating a better executive search experience for our candidates and clients in the automotive industry.
