Position SummaryThe HRIS & Benefits HR Specialist is a hands-on, onsite role responsible for executing core human resources operations across 4 entities and 250+employees. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient HR processes, including benefits administration, HRIS management (ADP Workforce Now), onboarding, and employee support.This role owns the administration of HR systems, benefits, compliance, workers compensation and the employee life cycle. The role will work directly with the onsite, Employee Relations and Recruiting Specialist, the remote HR Specialist, Payroll, department Managers and the HR Administrative Assistant.Compensation: $33.50-$35.50 hourlySchedule:Monday- Friday9:00am- 5:30pmBenefits Per Company Plan Details:Health, Dental & Vision401K Matching PlanLife InsuranceHospital Confinement PlanPet Insurance3 weeks of PTO2 Paid Holidays (Thanksgiving + Christmas) + 6 Floating Holidays*The terms and conditions associated with each Benefit are outlined in the Associate Handbook, additional documentation provided by Human Resources, or within the policies of the carriers providing the benefits*Key ResponsibilitiesHRIS & ADP Workforce Now OwnershipValue accuracy, responsiveness, confidentiality, and operational excellenceMaintain and manage employee data in ADP Workforce NowProcess employee changes including hires, terminations, compensation, and status updatesSupport payroll coordination and ensure data accuracyPerform as a liaison between HR and PayrollTroubleshoot system issues and serve as internal ADP resourceBenefits AdministrationAdminister employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, 401k)Manage enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee changesCoordinate and execute open enrollment processServe as primary point of contact for benefits-related questionsPartner with brokers and vendors to resolve issuesCompliance & Reporting SupportSupport ACA compliance and reporting (1095-C data coordination)Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance needsEnsure proper documentation across employee lifecycleLead the annual Employee Handbook review with the COOOnboarding & Employee LifecycleManage onboarding process, including documentation and orientation coordinationEnsure I-9 compliance and new hire documentation accuracyCoordinate offboarding, including final documentation and system updatesWorkers' CompensationAssist with workers' compensation claims administration and trackingCoordinate with carriers and claim adjustersMaintain written communication with employees and managersSupport the COO with document production as neededHR Operations & CoordinationMaintain personnel files and ensure documentation accuracySupport employment verifications and HR requestsCoordinate HR vendor invoices and servicesPartner with HR team to ensure balanced workload and efficiencyRecruiting SupportAssist with interview scheduling and candidate coordinationParticipate in interviews as neededSupport onboarding readiness for new hiresRequired Qualifications5+ years of HR experienceStrong math, writing and editing skills for internal and external communicationsMust have strong experience with ADP Workforce NowMust have hands-on experience as the benefits administration leadMultitask with strong attention to detail and organizational skillsManage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsMust have California HR compliance experienceSHRM-CP or PHR certificationExperience in multi-entity payroll organizations
