SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking anAssociate Environmental Specialistwith the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.The Associate Environmental Specialist will support Mortenson's environmental management efforts providing review of environmental documentation, and advising on environmental matters in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. This role is 100% travel. RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and administer environmental program at each work siteSupport project management in developing and executing site-specific environmental plansParticipate in project planning and environmental risk analysisReview environmental submittals and attend preconstruction meetings with subcontractorsMonitor and review trade partner work plans for environmental concernsEnsure compliance with environmental regulations and implement policies and proceduresCoordinate and support environmental orientation and training programsAssist with onsite best management practices for environmental managementMonitor implementation of environmental mitigation measuresConduct work site environmental inspectionsMonitor and record environmental dataDocument and report environmental violations and non-compliance conditionsAssist with incident analysis and responseProvide environmental-related information resourcesMaintain knowledge of environmental issues, regulations, and standards (US EPA, ASTM, etc.)Research environmental issues for project team membersInterface with customer’s environmental personnel, consultants, and regulatory representativesAccompany environmental, health and safety, insurance, and regulatory personnel on site toursEnsure maintenance and inspection of environmental equipmentQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Biology, or related fieldPrevious related internship experience a plusCurrent driver’s licenseA few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $73,800 MIN - $92,300 MAX.(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
