Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary
This position will provide high quality, compassionate, brief therapy services over a course of approximately 5-10 sessions to individuals with behavioral health needs in an FQHC setting. This is a hybrid position requiring at least 60% direct service time in the office.
This position will focus on establishing clear short-term treatment goals and measurable objectives with patients so they can realize success and mastery over their behavioral health barriers. This provider will work to develop motivation for change in the patient and celebrate their steps toward their goals using solution focused and other brief therapy techniques.
Essential Responsibilities
Assess, evaluate, and provide brief behavioral health treatment
Coordinate with clients to develop a person-centered treatment plan for services
Provide individual, family and group therapy services
Arrange referrals to external treatment domains or agencies, as needed
Lead group therapy sessions, when applicable
Provide consultation and psychoeducation to primary care and medical assistant team members on underlying roots and possible mental health symptoms leading to behaviors that impair their physical health
Education/Experience
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
Two (2) years' experience in a clinical setting working with a variety of populations required
Must have excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills
Experience with brief therapies, highly preferred
Licensure
Must be recognized as a Licensed Psychologist (HSPP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the State of Indiana
