Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions.The department or program search committees or hiring authority will review and evaluate the submitted application materials. Applicants will be notified if their application is being retained in the non-tenure track faculty hiring pool.Duties and ResponsibilitiesGallatin College seeks professionals in Bozeman able to execute the following duties:Estimate food production and purchase food,Select and develop recipes to work with lesson plans and ensure quality,Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and safety and sanitation in the kitchen,Maintain inventory system for food and supplies,Supervise food storage, production and course needs,Plan menus, purchase food and supplies, and assign duties for special meals or events,Provide orientation and job specific training to employees and students,Provide instruction to students on general kitchen management including the functions listed aboveOther duties as assigned.Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & SkillsFor all Workforce programs: occupational experience in the field is required.Demonstrated experience working with and engaging students and colleagues within and outside the department.Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & SkillsCulinary School DegreeAmerican Culinary Federation CertificationDemonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff enrichmentThe Successful Candidate Will* Work professionally and effectively with individuals and groups.* Possess effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.* Have the ability to contribute positively to the academic success of the students and the mission of Gallatin College Montana State University.Position Special Requirements/Additional InformationThe position for which you have applied MAY BE a Union position. The AAS in Culinary Arts is a 60 credit offering with summer session opportunities at MSU's Towne's Harvest field work and/or an internship.
