Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will DoDesign, develop, and integrate automated systems that support process and/or material development projectsLead and support the development of technologies in adherence with TRL and MRL toll closely with Engineers and Engineering Technicians, supporting daily process development.Interacting between Engineering groups (programs, chief office engineer, aftermarket, manufacturing/operations, facilities, supply chain, test labs, suppliers and customers); ensuring on-time and quality execution of materials & process project tasks and deliverables.Utilize manufacturing process experience to provide technical support and consultation for executing prototype and demonstrator builds.Review, understand, provide feedback, and approve manufacturing planning documents.Ensures adherence to all compliance requirements (TRL, MRL, EHS, CMS, QMS, PPAP etc.)Engages in problem solving initiatives & challenges the status quo (e.g. root cause and corrective action investigations, OEE, FPY, customer escapes)Participates and contributes on Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control build plans.Identifies opportunities on drawings and specifications to influence changes to engineering designs.Participates in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible for processes.Participates in process improvement and continuous improvement activities.Implements results of lean manufacturing You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.Multi-Axis robotics programming and operation experience.PLC programming and operating experience.Systems development and integration experience.Experience as a technical SME, relationship building, effective communications, lean leader, influencer.Product development and introduction experience.Qualifications We Prefer3-5 years industry experience in the field of composite manufacturing and process development is required, ideally with a strong focus on composite Aerostructures.Proficient oral and written communications skills in a very collaborative environment.Experience working with fiber optic laser systems.Advanced knowledge of robotic programming and of metallic material & processing specifications for Aerospace industry.Extensive Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Experience interpreting Engineering drawings and 3D CAD Designs (CATIA).Knowledge of thermoset and thermoplastic composite material & processing specifications for Aerospace industry.What We OfferSome of our competitive benefits package includes:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceThree weeks of vacation for newly hired employeesGenerous 401(k) plan that includes employer matching funds and separate employer retirement contribution, including a Lifetime Income Strategy optionTuition reimbursement programStudent Loan Repayment ProgramLife insurance and disability coverageOptional coverages you can buy: pet insurance, home and auto insurance, additional life and accident insurance,?critical illness?insurance, group legal, ID theft protectionBirth, adoption, parental leave benefitsCarrot Health to hormonal health, fertility, and family buildingAdoption AssistanceAutism BenefitEmployee Assistance Plan, including up to 10 free counseling sessionsHealthy You Incentives, wellness rewards programDoctor on Demand, virtual doctor visitsBright Horizons, child and elder care servicesTeladoc Medical Experts, second opinion programAnd more!
