Our success comes from finding, retaining, and supporting the highest quality talent by offering:Day 1 Benefits Coverage with low cost Medical, Vision, DentalDay 1 Paid-time Off and Vacation4.5% Company Match 401(k) plan$500 Annual Company-paid Lifestyle BenefitCompetitive Compensation and BonusesCompany-paid Life and Disability InsuranceEmployee Stock Purchase PlanTraining and Advancement OpportunitiesWhat You'll DoDevelop a general knowledge with all Rolling Mill systems so as to recognize offset conditions and assist to implement corrective actions, changes or adjustments to maintain effective Rolling Mill operationsPrepare and organize guides and roll stands for upcoming product rollingsBecome proficient with measuring equipment and techniques and properly use these to assist in building, changing and maintaining stands, guide boxes and loopers and to maintain proper Rolling Mill settings that ensure a quality productBecome proficient in using all other equipment and tools (crane rigging and operations; torch, grinder and pneumatic tools; other hand tools; Mill Operation Systems, eg, QMOS, OWS, etc) to maintain effective Rolling Mill operationsPerform minor/routine maintenance or repairs as needed to equipment without the assistance of maintenance personnelClean and repair roll stand and guide equipmentResponsible for continuous improvement such as suggesting improvements in work methods and proceduresWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPEUnderstand start up, shutdown, and emergency proceduresBe responsible for good housekeeping of every area you are required to workAbility to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others What You'll NeedMinimum 1 year field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment preferredAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spacesAbility to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shiftDemonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needsBasic computer skillsSome overtime will be requiredMust be able to learn quickly and multitaskStrong communication skills required.
